Así me expreso: Discovering Your Spanish Proficiency is an intermediate-level Spanish Open Educational Resource (OER) developed at The University of Texas at Austin. Grounded in a student-centered and constructivist approach, Así me expreso supports a flipped, discovery-based model and is designed to help learners actively build communicative competence. Fostering student agency around language development, the structure of the book emphasizes independent work through inductive grammar and vocabulary activities. This approach enables students to identify patterns and recognize and build on their existing knowledge, all before coming to class. In this way, class time is reserved for interaction with peers and experimentation with the content, affording opportunities for meaningful language use, ultimately resulting in increased confidence and proficiency.
