{"id":119,"date":"2024-03-13T15:22:21","date_gmt":"2024-03-13T15:22:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coerll.utexas.edu\/coerll\/?post_type=project&#038;p=119"},"modified":"2024-04-22T21:07:06","modified_gmt":"2024-04-22T21:07:06","slug":"the-texas-language-technology-open-access-initiative-tltoai","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/coerll.utexas.edu\/coerll\/project\/the-texas-language-technology-open-access-initiative-tltoai\/","title":{"rendered":"The Texas Language Technology Open Access Initiative (TLTOAI)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In the Fall of 2007 the Texas Language technology Center (now COERLL), in collaboration with Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services (LAITS), was awarded a three-year $540,000 FIPSE (Fund for the Improvement of Post-Secondary Education) grant to produce open access foreign language instructional resources. Open-access resources are digital scholarly works accessible online, free of charge. The TLTC open access initiative focused on the development, production, dissemination, and evaluation of six current TLTC multimedia resources:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.laits.utexas.edu\/aswaat\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Aswaat Arabiyya<\/a>, Alkitaab Textbook,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.coerll.utexas.edu\/dib\">Deutsch im Blick<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/sites.la.utexas.edu\/persian_online_resources\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Persian Online<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/coerll.utexas.edu\/ra\/\">Radio Arlecchino<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.coerll.utexas.edu\/brazilpod\/tafalado\/\">T\u00e1 Falado<\/a>. UT scholars and TLTC technical staff will build on the model of instructional technology development successfully implemented in Fran\u00e7ais interactif, UT&#8217;s highly successful online first-year French curriculum.
