Three lessons\u00a0aligned to the K12 Texas Essential Knowledge\u00a0and Skills (TEKS) comprise each unit. Relevant\u00a0scenarios related to personal life, college tasks, career readiness and civic participation\u00a0frame\u00a0each lesson and increase student engagement by making learning authentic and relevant to\u00a0real issues that students face. Each\u00a0lesson identifies an intermediate or advanced proficiency\u00a0target that supports language acquisition in the interpersonal, interpretive and\u00a0presentational modes.\u00a0The project also provides teachers with\u00a0a replicable\u00a0approach to lesson design\u00a0for\u00a0adapting or creating\u00a0their own materials.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":true,"inline_featured_image":false},"grant":[7,57],"class_list":["post-108","project","type-project","status-publish","hentry","grant-lrc","grant-lrc-2018"],"acf":{"project_directors":[{"project_director_name":"Meredith Clark","project_director_link":""},{"project_director_name":"Jos\u00e9 Sologuren","project_director_link":""}],"partners":null,"start_year":2018,"end_year":2022,"link":"https:\/\/coerll.utexas.edu\/coerll\/listos\/","project_resources":[{"resource_link":{"title":"\u00a1Listos!
