- Welchen deutschen oder amerikanischen Film hast du am liebsten?
- Oh… amerikanischer Film.. Ich habe eigentlich keinen einzigen Lieblingsfilm. Ich mag zum Beispiel die Filme von den Coen Brothers gern…Ich finde zum Beispiel Fargo oder Oh Brother, Where art thou, das sind komische Filme, also, Fargo ist nicht so komisch, fällt mir gerade ein, Fargo ist eigentlich ziemlich tragisch. Aber, also die ganze Wahlbreite gefällt mir an den Coen Brothers, das sie verschiedenste Filme machen. Manche sind sehr brutal, manche sind sehr komisch. Also das mag ich gern, zum Beispiel. Und deutsche Filme, ich mag gerne Filme von Fatih Akim. Zum Beispiel ein Film, der mir sehr gefallen hat, ist Gegen die Wand.
- Was ist dein Lieblingsbuch, und was gefällt dir besonders an diesem Buch?
- Mein Lieblingsbuch? Es ist komisch zu sagen, weil ich Deutsch studiere, aber mein Lieblingsbuch ist ein amerikanisches. Und zwar von John Steinbeck, East of Eden (Jenseits von Eden) und ich mag die Geschichte, weil sie ist sehr episch und lang [weil sie sehr episch und lang ist], und sie umfasst mehrere Generationen und sie hat fundamentale Themen über Gut und Böse, und es ist eine sehr menschliche Geschichte. Es ist fast die Geschichte der ganzen Menschheit in einer Familie erzählt.

- Which German or American film do you like the most?
- Oh, American movie… I actually don’t have a single favorite movie. I like, for example, the movies of the Coen brothers… For example, I found Fargo or Oh Brother, Where Art Thou very funny… Well, Fargo is actually not so funny, it just occurred to me, it’s quite tragic. But I like the whole selection from the Coen brothers, that they make the most diverse movies. Some are brutal and some are funny. That’s what I like. And German movies… I like the movies by Fatih Akim. For example, one movie that I really liked is Gegen die Wand.
- What is your favorite book, and what do you like about this book in particular?
- My favorite book? It’s funny to say, because I am a German student, but my favorite book is an American one. And specifically, John Steinbeck’s East of Eden. I like the story because it is epic, and long and encompasses more generations, and it discusses fundamenal themes of good and evil, and it is a very human story. It is the story of almost the entire human race, as told in one family.
